About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in building scalable, fault-tolerant systems. This is a mission-critical role for someone who thrives in solving complex problems, designing robust architecture, and pushing the boundaries of backend performance in high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services powering core platform features
Architect distributed systems that scale globally with low latency and high availability
Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product, Data) to ship features efficiently
Optimize APIs, databases, and system performance for millions of daily requests
Stay up to date on backend technology trends and apply best practices to codebase
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in high-scale environments
Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines
Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, Python, or Node.js)
Hands-on experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching (Redis), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Strong grasp of database design – both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience building and deploying services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Nice to Have
Prior experience in FinTech, IoT, or real-time analytics platforms
Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs/presentations
Comfort working in Agile environments and CI/CD workflows
